Born in Cork, Eoghan Barrett attended Christian Brothers Boys' Secondary School where he showed plenty of promise and went on to represent Ireland U19s in 2018.
Barrett was a standout in CBC’s Senior Cup team during his schoolboy years and having missed out on a place in the Munster academy, Barrett signed a three-year deal with French Top 14 side where former Munster number eight James Coughlan was in charge of Pau’s academy.
Barrett made his debut for Pau in the Challenge Cup clash against Calvisiano in January 2020 and is now part of the Pau senior squad.
In March 2021, he signed a new deal with the Top 14 club until 2023. He will be JIFF-qualified by the 2021/22 season.
