The Limerick born UCC graduate went straight into the Munster squad after impressive displays with Clontarf in the Ulster Bank League and equally impressive performances with the Ireland Club XV side. O'Mahony is a former member of the Munster Rugby Academy and returned to the Munster fold this year. He was part of the British and Irish Cup winning side in May 2012.
