Cian made the move from the sub academy to the academy at the start of the 2011/12 season, and made his B&I Cup debut in October 2012 against Plymouth Albion. He made his senior RaboDirect PRO12 debut for Munster coming on as a replacement against Zebre in May 2013 and after two years in the academy secured a development contract for season 2013/14.
Signed a two-year contract extension in January, remaining at development status for 2015/16 and advancing to full contract status up until June 2017.
After missing a full season of rugby, Bohane returned to feature against Treviso and Glasgow Warriors in this season's PRO12 and started every game for Munster A in the British & Irish Cup.
Bohane somewhat surprisingly retired from the game at 25 to pursue a degree in UCC. His career finished with him captaining Munster A to victory in the British and Irish Cup.
