Sitiveni Paongo was indentified as promising prospect during the 2016 season and was named in the Wellington Under-19 squad.
The Tawa prop performed extremely well and was named in the Wellington Lions squad for the 2016 Mitre 10 Cup.
In March 2017 he was named in the Hurricanes U20 squad to face the Argentina U20s.
