Will Porter has committed his future to Harlequins after signing a new deal, the club can confirm.
The livewire scrum-half, who has featured in every Gallagher Premiership fixture this term, will keep his talents at The Stoop for seasons to come.
Porter has made total of 28 appearances since his arrival in South West London at the start of the 2023/24 season, scoring seven tries.
The 25-year-old prides his game on pinpoint delivery from the base, but also possesses the ability to snipe through a gap in the defensive line, recording an average of 6.2m per carry this season.
Form at club level has seen Porter rewarded with a call-up to the England A setup for their clash with Australia A at The Stoop on Sunday (17 Nov, 14:00).
“I’ve loved my time at Quins. When I got the opportunity to extend my stay here, I jumped at it – I’m looking forward to the years to come,” said Porter.
“I feel as though I’ve really developed my game at the club with the help of Nick Evans and Gerard Mullen,” he continued, “I’ve gone after areas I need to work at but also tried to push on in the areas that I’m strong in.”
Reflecting on highlight moments from his first season at the Stoop, Porter said: “Bordeaux probably sticks out as one of the best moments from last year – there were a few! Experiencing the ‘Big Games’ and having the opportunity to play at Twickenham (Allianz Stadium) twice a year at club level is unbelievable too.”
Head Coach, Danny Wilson, added: “Will has been one of our most consistent performers so far this season. He’s been in outstanding form and we’re all thrilled he’s committed his future to the club.
“Will has fantastic game-understanding and plays a crucial role in dictating our tempo over the course of 80 minutes, allowing us to play our brand of rugby.
“His form at Club level has deservedly been rewarded with a call-up to the England A squad this week, and we’re all excited to see what the future holds for Will with club and country.”
