Watch: Jonah Lomu and Carlos Spencer combine to score in the North v South game in 1995
- 2302
This week the classic North v South match will take place for the first time since 2012. The inter-island fixture was once one of the most anticipated and bitterly contested matches in the New Zealand rugby calendar but fell out of favour in the professional era.
With the clash being revived in 2020, footage of past games are now being shown with this gem from 1995 being released with Jonah Lomu setting up Carlos Spencer for an excellent try against the South.

The North ran out convincing 63-22 winners on the day and it's easy to see why with a talented young Carlos Spencer running things at first five with Jonah Lomu rampaging through defenders on the wing.
