Gloucester fined: Gloucester have been fined after it was revealed they played an inelligeble player against Sale on March 29. Mariano Galarza was signed from Worcester last season but did not feature for the club until March due to a shoulder injury, the RFU believe he did not have effective registration when selected against Sale. Gloucester have recieved a £5,000 fine and have handed a suspended two-point deduction. The panel ruled the breach "an administrative error" and suspended the points deduction until the end of the 2016-17 season.
Ratini out for World Cup: Grenoble and Fiji winger Alipate Ratini will miss the rest of the Top 14 season and the Rugby World Cup due to a ruptured Achilles tendon. Ratini suffered the injury Grenobles clash with Bayonne at the weekend. The Fijian has been one of the revelations of the season in France and will be a huge loss to Grenoble's relagation fight. Grenoble boss Fabrice Landreau confirmed that he was suffering from a ruptured Achilles which will keep him out for a minimum of six months ruling him out of both Grenoble's run-in as well as the World Cup with Fiji later this year.
