After a tumultuous week of build-up, the Springboks levelled the series with a commanding victory against the British & Irish Lions on Saturday in Cape Town. 

The Lions entered the second Test with winning momentum after victory in the first, however, they were taken apart by the South Africans who had to win in order to keep hope alive of taking the series.
