Top Performers - Worcester warriors v Exeter chiefs
- 1281
Sixth placed Exeter Chiefs took on 10 th placed Worcester Warriors at Sixways. Both sides came into
the game having won one game and lost the other. The difference was a bonus point victory for
Exeter.
We look at the top performers from tonight’s game.
Stuart Hogg – Exeter
Fresh from a disappointing Scotland exit, where they were knocked out in the pool stages, the 27-
year-old looked to move passed that and tonight put in a very good performance. More than 120
metres gained for the fullback this evening from 16 carries. This also included beating two defenders
in the process. The 93kg fullback put in a good performance today.
Perry Humphreys – Worcester
Standout performance and sublime finishing by the Lincoln born left winger tonight. From his 89
metres gained he beat 6 defenders, made 3 clean breaks and dotted over twice (his sides only two
tries). His first came off a lovely set piece which he did well to finish showing some great pace to
score the try. His second was just as good but this time he beat a couple of men on the outside and
once again did well to finish.
Duncan Weir – Worcester
It’s not often that you see a backline player topping the tackle statistics, but so was the great work of
Duncan Weir that he was not only good with his boot but was also willing to get dirty. 20 tackles
made by the flyhalf and 3 turnovers. He put his hand up tonight. He also had a 100% kick success.
Ted Hill – Worcester
Another great defensive effort from the No.6 flank tonight to end off a good evening. 19 tackles and
4 turnovers the English International did not shy away tonight. Furthermore he made his presence
felt with some great interplay while carrying with some great intent.
