Top Performers: Bayonne v Exeter Chiefs

In the last pool stage game of the Investec Champions Cup, we saw Bayonne run riot over Exeter Chiefs, final score 40- 17, which earned them their first win of the competition but not enough to send them through to the Round of 16. Nevertheless the game had some outstanding performers and we have listed them for you.

Guillaume Rouet

- The experienced scrumhalf only played for 60 minutes but he was a pivotal part of Bayonne's victory. He was quick to the breakdowns and helped Bayonne keep the pressure on Exeter. He gained 39 metres, made 60 passes and got 1 try assist.

He gained 11metres, beat 3 defenders and had 1 try assist too. He was a rock in defense too making 4 tackles and winning 1 turnover.

Federico Mori

- Mori only played for 40 minutes but he contributed immensly to Bayonne's victory. He scored 2 tries, gained 17 metres, beat 6 defenders, which was the most in the game, and had 3 clean breaks. He had a 67% tackle success rate.
