Top 14 Highlights: Pau v La Rochelle

Pau probably deserved their 18-15 over La Rochelle in this Top 14 encounter. It was a slow start to the game with both Colin Slade and Alexis Bales kicking penalties and easing their sides into the game. From here, Pau took the bull by the horns and tries from Slade and Charlie Malie gave the hosts a 15-6 lead at the interval. La Rochelle enjoyed the majority of possession in the second half and Bales kicked three penalties to level the scores at 15-15 with ten minutes remaining. From here it was anyone's game but Pau finally managed to get some territory inside the La Rochelle 22 and look dangerous with a few minutes remaining. The visitors were forced to give away a penalty and scrum-half Thibault Daubagna stepped up and kicked Pau to victory.
