Round 10 of Super Rugby AU saw a thrilling encounter between the Force and the Rebels before the Brumbies took a knock against a fired up Reds outfit.
The Force had a point to prove as they came out against the Rebels who found themselves in a must-win situation. The game was competitive in the first stanza with the teams jogging off with the score at 20-13, the Force scoring their second try on the stroke of half-time.
They players embarked on the final quarter with the Force in vibrant mood as they went 30-20 up, but the Rebels hit back with another try of their own to take the score to 30-27. A nail-biting finish was in store as the Rebels snuck over from a ruck, with the Force defending for all they were worth, to steal the game at the death.
The Reds stunned the Brumbies in a fantastic clash at Suncorp Stadium, coming away with a convincing 26-7 victory.
The Brumbies’ only score of the match came after the half-time hooter when Pete Samu cantered in under the poles to make the score 18-7 at the break after the Reds had run in two impressive tries.
The second half saw James O’Connor knock over a penalty before talented scrumhalf Tate McDermott crossed the try-line to give the game its final score.
With their victory, the Reds now finish on 25 points on the log – just three behind the Brumbies – as we go into the quarter-final stages.
