Harlequins has announced that prop Simon Kerrod has re-signed with the Club ahead of the 2023/24 season.
Kerrod began his playing career at Pretoria Boys High School before his eventual move to the UK to join Championship side Jersey Reds in 2016. Following a successful stint at Jersey, Kerrod graduated into the Gallagher Premiership, joining Worcester Warriors in 2017.
The South African-born tighthead prop then made the move to Harlequins ahead of the 2019/20 Gallagher Premiership season, becoming a regular feature within the matchday squad at both tighthead and loosehead prop.
In 2020, Kerrod was called up to the England senior squad by Eddie Jones but is yet to make his Test debut.
Harlequins Scrum and Transition Coach Adam Jones said “Simon has proven himself as a top-class prop and remains an integral part of our front row contingent. He’s brought great experience to the group over the last few years and has proved himself as a highly effective scrummager on either side of the scrum.
“We’re thrilled to have him recommit to Quins and look forward to continuing to work with him.”
