Rugby Europe Championship Round 2 Wrap-up
- 1547
Hard work and determination paid off for the Romanians as a last-gasp effort at the death put them one point ahead of Portugal in Round 2 of the Rugby Europe Championship. The fixture was held at the CAR Jamor Stadium.
Meanwhile, in the second game of the round, Georgia beat Spain 25-19. The Georgians scored three tries to Spain’s one while the latter managed to capitalise on some poor discipline by the former and slotted four penalties.
Although a Georgian win was expected, Spain gave good account of themselves to the point where the match could actually have gone either way. The Spaniard’s composure let them down at times with some unforced errors in the Georgian 22m area, however, overall, they will be encouraged by their display.
