Road To The Super Rugby Playoffs

There are three rounds remaining in this season’s Super Rugby competition and while there is one New Zealand side dominating the tournament at this stage, the are five South African teams still gunning for a playoff spots. Let’s take a closer look at how the playoffs might look after the next three weeks.
Australian Conference
The Australian table is a two horse race and although the Brumbies have a one point lead there is no guarantee that they will finish top. The do have an easier run in than the Rebels but we have all seen a few shock results in the competition of late.

New Zealand Conference:
The Crusaders are set to win the NZ conference and are sitting very comfortably at the top of the overall table. They have secured a home playoff spot already and will definitely be in line for a favourable draw. Hurricanes are certain to be the second New Zealand side in the knockout phase and are sitting fourth overall.

South African Conference
All five South African side are still in with a good shout but unfortunately one, maybe two, will miss out on a playoff berth in the coming weeks. The Jaguares are in pole position at the moment and we expect them to keep up their momentum, the Sharks, Bulls, Lions all have tricky run-ins.
