RD 7 HIGHLIGHTS | Hawke’s Bay v Manawatu (Mitre 10 Cup 2020)

It was a tense game to begin with as both teams struggled to penetrate each others' defences. Manawatu were the first on the board though and scored a try in the 18th minute. Hawke's Bay didn't waste time and got onto the board six minutes later as they opened the floodgates! Hawke's Bay then started to take control of the match and really opened their wings in the second half, showing Manawatu that they mean business. Hawke's Bay will be happy with their performance today and will be hoping to continue their form. Manawatu will have a lot to look at as they spent considerable amounts of time near to the Hawke's Bay try line in the second half but had nothing to show for it, they also suffered with a lack of discipline, which they'll want to fix in order to become more competitive. Hawke's Bay take a convincing victory, 47-12!
