The hosts will be delighted to come away from this nail-biting battle with the win. Despite a valiant effort from Gloucester, the home side put in an enormous defensive shift in the second half to keep the visitors out.
Jonny Arr got the scoring underway early on followed by another from Shillcock after 11 minutes.
Worcester looked comfortable until Matt Scott took advantage of loose play to score his sides first try after 15 minutes. Both teams continued to battle it out for the remainder of the first half and Josh Adams managed to get in for one more for the Warriors before halftime bringing the score to 22-10 after the first 40.
Both teams emptied the tanks in the second half which was neck and neck for the majority. Henry Trinder bagged his sides the only try of the half but the home sides defensive performance won them the game in the end. Chris Pennell knocked over a penalty after 65 minutes which ended the scoring for both sides.
