Premiership Highlights: Harlequins v Wasps
- 1167
A close first half, followed by a very one-sided second forty minutes, ended with a convincing victory for the home side. Quins with a perfect send-off for their talisman Nick Evans who scored 22 points to contribute to the victory.
Wasps went over for the only try of the first half through Dan Robson after a superb break from Jimmy Gopperth. That sent them into the changing rooms in the lead at HT, despite the boot of Nick Evans keeping Quins in the game.
Quins came out a different animal in the second half, scoring two tries through Tim Visser and Joe Marchant, as well as a number of penalties from the farewell hero, Evans. A well-deserved victory for Quins and with that, they'll keep their Champions Cup Qualification hopes alive. Wasps will have to do something to try and rediscover the form from early in the season that put them at the front of the pack in chasing Premiership glory. They face stern opposition in Saracens next week, in a game that may decide who gets a home semi-final.
