- 1812
Gloucester Rugby confirmed their squad for the 2016-17 season earlier this week and, for the first time in many years, the name of Nick Wood didn't feature.
The 33-year-old loosehead, who joined the Academy from Radley College in 2001, has spent his entire playing career to date with the Cherry and Whites, making his first team debut in the 2003-4 season.
'Woody', as he was dubbed by the club's supporters, was voted Young Player of the Season by them in 2004-05, and their Player of the Season in the 2011-12 season as well as being nominated for Premiership Player of the Season in the same year.
In total he has made 278 competitive appearances for Gloucester, a club record, as well as becoming the first Gloucester player to make 200 Premiership appearances. He also holds the joint record for most Premiership games played at one ground.
Wood who will leave the club this summer after 15 years of sterling service.
