Tips staying on: Ospreys fans are waking up to some good news this morning, as reports emerge from Swansea that the club have kept hold of backrower Justin Tipuric until at least the close of the 2018 season. Tipuric, who had been previously linked with aa high profile move away from The Liberty Stadium, said he found the interest in him hugely flattering but that he was more than happy to remain at the Ospreys, as the Guiness Pro12 outfit look to build into the future. Having made his debut for the Welsh outfit back in 2009, Tipuric has already amassed an impressive 93 caps, becoming a vital cog in the club's wheel, while also impressing on the international scene under Warren Gatland.
Bordeaux sign Buttin: Clermont fullback Jean-Marcellin Buttin has confirmed that he will be leaving the club at the close of the current season, opting instead to take up a deal with fellow French Top 14 outfit, Bordeaux-Begles. Buttin, who has played at Stade Marcel Michelin for the past five years since joining in 2009, has stuggled to keep hold of the no.15 jersey this season following the arrival of Nick Abendanon from Bath. Buttin's move to Bordeaux represents the club's third major signing, after both Adam Ashley-Cooper and Luke Braid confirmed they would also be linking up with the Raphael Ibanezcoached side as of next season. Buttin's move comes as yet another blow to the Auvergne faithful, after it emerged that star winger Napolioni Nalaga has put pen to paper on a deal to join current French and European champions Toulon next year.
