Jarryd Hayne’s Olympic dream is over
Coach Ben Ryan announced that Hayne has not make the cut for Fiji’s rugby 7s squad for the upcoming Rio Games.
He will, however, remain in camp with the Fiji squad for the next few days before returning home to Sydney.
Whiteley in recovery
Warren Whiteley is reportedly settling well with treatment and is expected to start running this week, with his availability still in question.
O'Connell accepts Munster Academy role
Munster have confirmed that former second-row Paul O’Connell will join their academy in an advisory role with immediate effect.
Falcons add Williams and Payne
Newcastle have boosted their staff ahead of 2016/17 with the arrival of strength and conditioning coaches Lewis Williams and Tim Payne.
Williams arrives from Super League club Wakefield Wildcats while former England international Payne joins from London Scottish. Both men are already in place working under head of athletic performance, Kevin McShane.

Waratahs winger Taqele Naiyaravoro has been suspended from all forms of the Rugby for 1 week up to, and including, Saturday 16 July 2016 for a dangerous tackle.

Brumbies winger Joe Tomane has been ruled out of action for the remainder of the Super Rugby season after a fractured leg. He is expected to be out for 8 weeks.
