Lions lose Kriel & Erasmus to lengthy layoffs

The Lions will be sweating over the availability of two of their key players for the start of Super Rugby 2018 after Jaco Kriel & Lourens Erasmus sustained long-term injuries.
Springbok and Lions flanker Jaco Kriel sustained a severe shoulder injury in the Rugby Championship test against Australia in Perth and will undergo an operation today (Tuesday) and is expected to return to play in six months.
Lourens Erasmus will undergo an operation on his left knee and will be out of action for approximately three months. Erasmus has been sent back to South Africa after he got injured while in action in Japan.
