Jean Deysel signs for Ulster Rugby

Ulster Rugby have confirmed the signing of powerful Springbok back rower Jean Deysel, who will arrive at Kingspan Stadium in mid-July on a two-year deal.

The 32-year-old South African, capped four times by his country, will join from the Sharks. He has made 156 appearances for the Durban-based outfit since joining from the Lions in 2007.


Deysel signed a contract to join Japanese side Toyota Verblitz at the conclusion of the 2014 Super Rugby season, before returning to the Sharks.

Earlier this year he joined Munster on a three-month loan deal as injury cover and was heavily involved in the latter stages of the season.
