Aled Thomas is set to return to the Scarlets next season after failing to establish himself at Gloucester.
The Welsh fly-half was brought to the club by former director of rugby Nigel Davies but has had limited opportunities to shine at Kingsholm.
He has made just six appearances for the first team, four of which were in the LV=Cup and admitted last month that he was desperate for further game time.
With Rhys Priestland joining Bath in the summer the Llanelli-based region were in the hunt for a new fly-half.
