Frans Malherbe commits to Stormers & Western Province

Powerful Springbok tighthead prop Frans Malherbe has committed to Western Province and the Stormers going forward.

The 30 year-old is a ‘one union man’ thus far, having debuted for the Stormers 10 years ago after representing Western Province through age-group levels. He currently has 109 Stormers caps to his name.

"Frans has been central to the scrum culture that has been developed here over the last decade and will provide immense value to the development of the talented young props we have here,” said Stormers head coach John Dobson.

"His contribution to the DHL Stormers and the Springboks over the years has perhaps not been fully appreciated, but we understand just how fortunate we are to be able to draw on his skill and experience.”
