Flood Guides Falcons To Victory Over Fellow Premiership Strugglers
- 1296
Toby Flood led Newcastle Falcons to a precious 4 points over fellow league strugglers Worcester, denying the Warriors a losing bonus point, in testing conditions at Kingston Park.
The veteran flyhalf controlled the game brilliantly putting the Worcester back three under immense pressure with some clever kicks. Flood kicked 7 points from the tee and scored a first-half try in his side victory.
Zach Kibirige had a stellar first half for the home side but he saw little ball in the second with both sides struggling to get going on attack.

Simon Hammersley was superb in covering the backfield for Newcastle racking up 126 running metres and pinned Worcester back in their half on a number of occasions with his boot.
In the pack, Gary Graham and Will Welch were superb on defence with both flankers making 17 tackles while George McGuigan and Will Welch were simply superb at the breakdown.
Ted Hill was hugely impressive once again for Worcester getting stuck into the rucks and carried strongly throughout the clash while Francois Hougaard enjoyed a particularly good kicking game.
