Owen Farrell kicked a sudden death penalty to beat France 22-19 at Twickenham and win the Autumn Nations Cup.
Here is how we rated the England players:
15. Elliot Daly - 4
Had a number of struggles off the boot and in the air. A few misplaced kicked as well as a few going out on the full.
Went searching for attacking opportunities but came up empty-handed more often than not.
14. Anthony Watson - 6
Some great attacking runs while he chased England's up and under superbly.
Came close to scoring in the second half and managed to keep the ball alive.
13. Henry Slade - 6
Some neat touches with ball in hand but his efforts mostly came up with no reward.
A few nice reads on defence but he wasn't quite able to release England's wide men.
12. Owen Farrell - 4
An odd game for Farrell as his overall game was forgettable but he was able to nail the clutch kick to seal the victory will be one to remember/
He missed four overall in the game and nailed five. The England captain was sent flying backwards by Jonathan Danty and wasn't able to get England's attacking ticking into gear.
11. Jonny May - 7
Spent most of the match sprinting up and down the touchline chasing kicks and putting France under pressure.
May managed to put France into tricky situations on a number of times. When he did get the ball, May looked incredibly dangerous and made over 80 running metres.
10.George Ford - 6
England's game was largely based around their kicking game and Ford executed it well with a few quality kicks.
Ford too was unable to crack the French defence but he was solid on defence.
9. Ben Youngs - 6
Not terrible but not fantastic either. Should have taken command and spread the ball wide in the latter stages of the second half to grab the try their pressure deserved.
Picked up the pace in the second half before he was pulled with 10 minutes left in the second half.
1. Ellis Genge - 7
Scrummaged well and was strong on defence. Genge got in the faces of the French pack and managed to keep his cool when the Les Bleus' forwards look to get under his skin.
2. Jamie George - 5
The lineout wasn't as accurate as it has been this autumn but that was more down to Woki's brilliance than George's darts.
The England hooker did miss three of his attempted six tackles and did little on attack.
3. Kyle Sinckler - 7
Got involved on both sides of the ball well and was solid in the scrum.
His high work rate saw him make nine carries and ten tackles.
4. Maro Itoje - 6
His usual pesky self for the opposition but Itoje wasn't quite as dominant as he has been this year. France's Cameron Woki was put in Itoje-like performance disrupting England's lineout by barking out as George was about to throw which may have shaken Itoje somewhat.
Solid shift nonetheless.
5. Joe Launchbury - 5
Spent most his 44 minutes on the pitch piling into the breakdown. Before he was replaced by Jonny Hill.
6. Tom Curry - 7.5
Tireless and effective, Curry was excellent for the full 95 minutes.
Piled into the rucks and hit French defenders backwards while also chasing kicks well.
7. Sam Underhill - 5
Some hefty trademark hits on defence but it was Underhill's ill-discipline that saw him being hooked shortly after halftime.
8. Billy Vunipola - 8
One of England's best, Vunipola rocketed into some of the French attackers sending them flying backwards.
He also carried strongly and forced two turnovers.
Replacements:
16. Luke Cowan-Dickie 7.5
Improved set pieces and added another bite to England's attack with his carries.
Scored the crucial try to send the game into extra time.
17. Joe Marler - 6
Impactful return to the England jersey with some hefty carries and solid hits, he did, however, give a penalty away.
18. Will Stuart - 5
A solid 36 minutes making his tackles and clearing rucks.
19. Jonny Hill - 6
Picked up from where Launchbury left off without making a real statement.
20. Ben Earl -7
Lifted the side from the minute he took the pitch. Carried with real vigor making 35 metres and managed a turnover and six tackles.
21. Dan Robson - 6
Continued where Youngs left off as England fought back and won the match.
22. Max Malins - 7
Made his mark as he ripped through the French defence for 49 running metres in just under half a hour.
23. Joe Marchant
Unused substitute.
