Elliot Daly re-signs with Wasps
- 2044
Wasps have announced that Lions and England international Elliot Daly has extended his contract with the club.
The 24-year-old started every Test for the British and Irish Lions against the All Blacks over the summer and is recognised as one of the brightest young talents in world rugby.
Having represented England at every age level, Daly made his senior international debut against Ireland during the 2016 6 Nations and he has gone on to earn 13 caps for his country. His monster left boot and versatility in the back line have established him as a valuable player in any international squad.
Nominated for European Player of the Year the past two seasons, Daly also enjoys the unusual accolade of being the only player to have scored both for and against the Lions, in 2013 for the Barbarians after being selected by current boss and then Baa-Baas Head Coach Dai Young.
A product of Wasps Academy, Daly has made 157 appearances for the senior squad since making his debut as an 18-year-old Whitgift school boy in 2010. Only James Haskell and Joe Simpson have made more appearances for the club in the current squad.
