The Rebels have continued their signings for 2016 by recruiting second row Culum Retallick from the Blues.
Retallick joins on a two-year deal having made close to 50 appearances in Super Rugby so far in his career, having previously turned out for the Highlanders.
The news of Retallick’s arrival comes after the Rebels announced the signing of All Blacks flanker Adam Thomson on Monday.
“Culum coming from a strong rugby environment in New Zealand will bring a great deal of experience for us in the lock position,” said Rebels head coach Tony McGahan.
“His set piece work will add to our depth and playing style, as we look to improve on the 2015 season. We look forward to Culum and his family moving to Melbourne in November to commence pre-season training.”
Retallick added: “I always look forward to new challenges and experiences with a new team, and also moving my family for the first time outside of New Zealand.”
