A second Leicester try saw the hosts back in front, but a late Scarlets penalty reduced the deficit to 15-13 at the break. Leicester started the second half as they did the first, with an early penalty followed shortly after by their third try to take control at 25-13.
Once again the Scarlets responded, this time with back to back tries to edge in front 27-25 heading into the final quarter. The lead did not last long, with Leicester running in their fourth try and following that up with a penalty to take a 35-27 advantage into the last 10 minutes. It was all Leicester at this point, with the hosts crossing for a fifth try and kicking a further penalty to seal a resounding victory.
