Challenge Cup Highlights: Cardiff Blues v Pau (SF)

Cardiff Blues put in a gritty defensive performance to defeat Pau in this semi-final of the European Challenge Cup. Gareth Anscombe opened the scoring for Cardiff inside 5 minutes but the Welsh full-back gave Pau a route back into the game as his charged down kick was collected by Conrad Smith which brought the scores to 7-7 at the 20-minute mark. Jarrod Evans and Tom Taylor exchanged penalty kicks but ultimately it was Cardiff who gained the upper hand and this was deservedly so. Special mention to Ellis Jenkins who was everywhere - He won four turnovers, made twelve tackles and carried nine times. The openside flanker was awarded withMan of the Match.
