Here are our top performers from the clash:
Ellis Jenkins
Another tireless 80-minute performance by the Cardiff Blues captain. He made 12 carries and 10 tackles and was all over the park.
As per usual he was extremely effective at the breakdown, making three turnovers, and almost scored a try when he charged down Benhard Janse van Rensburg's kick late on in the match.
Ox Nche
The Cheetahs loosehead had a strong performance in all facets of his game today. He carried the ball strongly and made 8 hefty tackles driving the ball carriers back.
His scrum work was superb with the Cheetahs pack clearly struggling once he left the field just after the hour mark.
Gareth Anscombe
Calm and collected performance by the Welsh International. Anscombe was one the biggest reasons Cardiff came out on top in this match.
Anscombe was unfazed by the scoreline despite his side being 11 points down with 20 minutes left to play.
His missed penalty in the 7th minute of the game was one of the only mistakes he made tonight.
His general kicking was superb as too was his overall game management.
