10 players to watch out for in this years Six Nations
- 2719
four tries in his first two tests for France has got plenty people talking about Teddy Thomas and his involvement in this years 6 Nations championship. The Racing Metro wingers pace and physicality will be a nightmare for any defence to deal with and if he is given time and space he will do damage with Fiji and Australia knowing first hand after their defeats to France in the Autumn series.
Robbie Henshaw
After years of being Connacht's star performer Henshaw has now made the move up to International Rugby where he will start in the centre for Ireland in this years Six Nations championship. Whether he will start at 12 or 13 that is unknown but after some fine performances against South Africa and Australia in November, Ireland can rely on him to hopefully guide them to back to back championships.
Samson Lee
After an outstanding November series Samson Lee is looking to continue his fine form for Wales. After replacing Adam Jones as Wales first choice Tighthead, Lee can now look forward to being a regular starter for Wales and at the tender age of 22 he has a lot more caps to look forward to.
Finn Russell
From being a Stonemason to being Scotland's first choice Outhalf, Finn Russell has come a long way. Having performed so well for Glasgow Warriors in the past two seasons Vern Cotter gave him his test debut in the Summer and Russell has never looked back starting ahead of the experienced Duncan Weir for both club and country.
Scott Spedding
The South African born Spedding has been a breath of fresh air for France with the fullback earning his test debut In November after years of impressive performances for Bayonne. His performances have not gone unnoticed with Clermont Auvergne signing him for next season with Spedding known for his reliability in defence and his dangerous running from deep.
Kelly Haimona
With Italy continuing to change their Outhalves each Six Nations campaign Kelly Haimona could be the Outhalf they have been waiting for after impressing in the Autumn. Haimona who made his debut against Samoa in November was the man of the match in a 24-13 win scoring 14 points and Italy will be hoping he can perform like that again as they look to avoid the wooden spoon.
With Farrell missing the entire Six Nations campaign Ford will now have the chance to cement his place as England first choice Outhalf with the World Cup only 8 months away. Having only played 10 minutes of Rugby in last years campaign Ford will look to enjoy a successful campaign and keep Farrell on the bench when the World cup starts in September.
Anthony Watson
Anthony Watson goes into his first Six Nations campaign as one of the most exciting young talents in the game at the moment. After representing England U20's as a 17 year old, he has only got better and better earning a starting position at Bath and now looks set to start for England in the Six Nations after starting three of the four Autumn Internationals in November.
Jared Payne
Payne goes into the Six Nations with big shoes to fill as it looks likely that he will be selected at 13 for this years championship. With Brian O'Driscoll now in the commentary box Payne will now look to do his best to perform as well as the prodigal son and form a dynamic centre partnership with Robbie Henshaw.
Blair Cowan
Since the start of Vern Cotter's time as Scotland head coach Blair Cowan has been one of the first names on the teamsheet. The New Zealand born flanker who made his test debut in the Summer has put in some fantastic performances with the London Irish man taking the place of Kelly Brown who has been dropped from the squad completely.
