South Africa ran out 35-12 victors over France in the final instalment of this summer test series from Ellis Park. The home side got off to a flying start, finding themselves 10-0 up after just 10 minutes following a Jesse Kriel try. Some accurate place kicking from Jules Plisson kept France in the game and left the half time scores at 16-9 in favour of the Boks. South Africa started the second half in emphatic fashion with Etzebeth scoring a try after just two minutes. From that moment on it was an incredibly uphill battle for the French, a task with which they were unable to cope. All in all, a very disappointing series for France who continue to struggle internationally. On the other hand, this series was excellent for the Springboks who are playing some of the best rugby we have seen from them in a long time.
