The ref blows the final whistle to bring to an end a pulsating game of rugby, which saw an incredible second half turn around from the Tahs to grab an unlikely victory. The Blues will be disappointed to have let a 14 point half time lead slip, as a much improved handling display from the Tahs in the second half set the groundwork for a memorable come back. The Waratahs win a scrum and attack. The Blues defence initially is good as the Tahs attack comes off the back of the scrum, but they patiently go through 12 phases until a surge from Horne gets them to the 5m line and Bernard Foley goes over for an all important try, drawing the scores level..

The referee calls time on an interesting half of rugby. The Tahs have had the lions share of possession and territory, but handling errors and turnovers are costing them in attack and defence, as the Blues look incredibly dangerous off turn over possession. The Tahs will need a big turn around in the second half if they are to take anything from this game.
