Powerful start from the Tigers see's them win a penalty at scrum time and then at the breakdown. The latter gave Toby Flood the chance to open the scoring but the fly-half pulled his kick to the left.
Blaine Scully straight away in the wars. As the winger claims the opening kick off, he ships a heavy tackle from the chasing Sam Dickinson. Daniel Bowden comes on for Scully as he makes his way to the concussion bin to see whether he is fit to return.
COYBIGW&R!!!!!
Good afternoon everyone and welcome to our coverage of Northampton Saints visit to Welford Road to take on Leicester Tigers. It's second versus third in this encounter with both sides locked on 15 points and only score difference nudging the Saints in front. The Tigers only blip thus far was seven point defeat away to Bath in a game which could have either way. The Saints suffered there sole loss of the season at the hands of Gloucester in somewhat controversial style after a late penalty was awarded against the Saints. This game promises to be an absolute cracker as both teams hope to keep the pressure on high flying Saracens at the top but perhaps more importantly will hope to get a psychological victory over there opponents as the chances of both the sides being in the hunt come the business end are currently quite high.
This could well be the making of the Saints season. An away win against tigers !! #COYS
#COYS you can do it
It's going to be a cracker! Northampton 30. Leicester 27.
Heading south from Edinburgh for my first derby game. #excited
