Ireland's strong scrum gives them a great platform. The ball is released out to Stapleton who puts Briggs through a whole on the inside and she races up into the 22 but Ireland lose the ball forward off the next phase

Briggs makes a great run to bring Ireland well inside the Italian half, the ball is then spread to Molloy who offloads to Kennedy but she can't hold on to the ball and Italy manage to gather and win a penalty

Half time here at the Aviva and Ireland are in full control of this game with a 20 points lead. They have turned down the posts on numerous occasions opting for the corner and it has paid off for them. The Italians will need to be more disciplined as the referee has penalized them a lot in the first half and we could see a yellow for them soon
