Saints get the game underway

Dragons welcome Northampton Saints to Rodney Parade for a round 16 clash in the Challenge Cup. Its been an up and down season for both sides, but Dragons missed out on Pro 14 playoff, while Saints are still in the running in the Premiership. European rugby is a different story. Dragons have never beaten Saints in five European encounters

Northampton Saints have the edge over the Dragons if past form is anything to go by having defeated the Welsh region home and away during the 2018/19 pool stage.

Five tournament winners – Harlequins, Cardiff Blues, Northampton Saints, Bath Rugby and Montpellier – with nine Challenge Cup titles between them have reached the knockout stage.
