Ellis puts in a perfectly weighted grubber into the 22m area and the Force are penalised for being offside. The Crusaders decide not to take the easy points and set up a lineout. Hodgson makes a tackle after the lineout and contests for the ball, but is penalised for being off his feet. Crusaders elect for a scrum 5m out instead of taking the easy points again.

Crusaders run it back at the Force but Hodgson makes a brilliant steal at the ruck. The Force then lose the ball forward soon after, Crusaders scrum on halfway.

Ebersohn's kick is charged down but luckily for the Force, the ball goes over the deadball line. 22m drop out.
