Line out goes awry, scrum to come for a Bath knock
High tempo start here, Abendanon and Fotoailii trading kicks, Abendanon kicking long giving the Saints a lineout just outside the 22.
Myler gets us underway, kicking deep
Both teams out on the pitch now, kick off moments away
Good afternoon and welcome to UR's live coverage of todays clash between two of the premierships heavyweight sides. Both teams are still in the hunt for a playoff berth, so there can be no doubting that both sides are here to put on a serious show. Big night for Bath club captain Stuart Hooper, who makes his 200th Premiership appearance on Friday as he leads the team against Northampton Saints.
He is joined in the second row by the returning Dave Attwood, as Paul James and David Wilson come back to form an all-international front row alongside hooker Rob Webber. Carl Fearns, taking the blindside shirt in place of the injured Matt Garvey, starts in the back row with openside Guy Mercer and number eight Leroy Houston. The Bath backline is no less impressive with exciting youngsters Ford, Devoto and Watson all lining out. Meanwhile, Northampton's coaches have made five changes to the starting line-up from that which began the Challenge Cup semi-final win over Harlequins last weekend. Ben Foden, Ken Pisi and Luther Burrell all come into the back line, with Courtney Lawes and Tom Wood stepping up from the bench. Wood wears the captain's armband for the trip to the Recreation Ground. Sure to be a massive encounter this one, kick off in less than ten minutes.
