Kieran Verden is an English rugby union player who currently competes for Bath in the Premiership Rugby. He began his rugby journey at Beechen Cliff and progressed through their pathway into the Bath Rugby Senior Academy before eventually joining the Senior Squad.
Verden is known for his imposing presence as a prop and his strong set-piece skills. In the 2016/17 season, he captained the Bath Rugby Academy and delivered impressive performances throughout the year. His consistent displays earned him a place in the England U18 squad for their tour of South Africa.
He made his Premiership debut for Bath against Worcester Warriors towards the end of the 2019/20 season. In the following season, Verden joined Worcester Warriors on a short loan deal, allowing him to gain valuable game time and experience European rugby.
He featured in matches against Pau and Ospreys in the European Rugby Challenge Cup, broadening his skills and adapting to a different team dynamic.
Upon his return to Bath, Verden continued to add to his Premiership appearances, providing competition in the tighthead prop position. In June 2021, he signed his first professional contract with Bath, officially becoming a part of the senior squad from the 2021-22 season.
