Coming out of Hoërskool Outeniqua Karlo Aspeling represented multiple provincial teams including the Falcons, Border, Eagles and Varsity Cup side Tuks before he secured a move to Italian side CUS Ad Maiora.
He spent the 2014/15 season in Italy before he returned to South Africa and represented the EP Kings for the 2015 season.
The following season he rejoined the Falcons and his performances with the Falcons prompted the Pumas to offer him a move to the Nelspruit based side.
