Evans swapped Scarlets for Cardiff at the culmination of the 2008-2009 season. Evans made his Scarlets debut in 2003 and his subsequent form saw him selected for Wales during the 2006 Autumn international series, where he made his debut against the Pacific Islands, adding to the caps he won for Wales at under 19 and 21 levels. Evans has gone onto make over 100 appearances for the Blues and is currently their vice-captain.
