Formerly a tight head, Jones has represented Wales at every level from School Boy to full international level. Jones’ Welsh career has been trophy laden, even from the outset. Indeed, Jones was part of Wales’ U21 Grand Slam winning side of 1999. After the reorganisation of Neath RFC, Jones’ transferred to the Ospreys and made a last impression; Jones was selected as the Ospreys captain for their victorious 2006/2007 Domestic League winning campaign. Jones made his Wales debut as a substitute against Australia in 2001 and won fifty seven Welsh caps between then and his international retirement in 2009.
