Born in Carmarthen, Wales, Allinson is a sniping scrumhalf by trade. His professional career began at Cardiff Blues in the Celtic League before linking up with London Irish in the English Premiership.
The 2016/17 season will be Allinson's 7th season for the Exiles, and as he proved in the 2015 in the Challenge cup quarter finals he is an integral part of this team.
November 2016 saw him sign a short-term loan deal with Bath Rugby, bringing in plenty of experience to the squad, having made over 120 appearances for the Exiles.
After 15 appearances for Bath, Allison agreed on a release from his contract at the club in January 2019 following lack of game time.
