Born in the county of Kent, England, Croall is a loosehead prop by trade but can also operate in the hooker berth. A poweful man, Croall began his career at Saracens before joining Harlequins where he spent five largely unsuccessful seasons. In the summer of 2012, Croall left 'Quins and signed for Sale Sharks having previously spent time at the club on loan.
