The Rivertsown native has been named in the Ireland squad for the 2018 Six Nations, just two years after switching from basketball to rugby.
Ahead of the 2020 Women's Six Nations, McDermott has once again been named for the Ireland squad. She has had 8 appearances and will look to add to this total.
