Hughes has an impressive rugby CV which includes international honours for England U18s & skippering Lancashire age grade teams.
He made appearances for the Sharks 1st team in the Amlin Challenge Cup in the 2013 season and the LV= Cup playing alongside former Fylde Junior & 1st teamer Josh Beaumont.
After a few seasons with Sale Sharks, Hughes was released at the end of the 2016/17 season.
