Despite being Auckland-born, Fifita has been capped for both Australian Schools and the Junior Wallabies and put those skills to good use throughout the NRC season having been an ever-present in the Vikings squad throughout the competition to date.
Moving to Canberra from Sydney, where he was a product of Newington College, Fifita signed for the Brumbies' 2019 Super Rugby squad following an exemplary 2018 National Rugby Championship (NRC) with the Canberra Vikings.
In September 2019, Fifita was named on the bench for Tonga to make his test debut against Fiji.
