Hailing from Moldova, Cobilas is a powerful prop forward who can operate on both sides of the scrum making him a valuable member of any side. Having played in the Russian domestic game, Cobilas was signed by Sale Sharks in the summer of 2011 and has become an integral part of the side. He is the first Moldovan rugby player to play professionally in England.
